Abstract

Abstract: The present work of degree raises the design of "patterns", from the formal study of two species of butterflies originated in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the graphic interpretation of the butterfly used by the Shuar people. From this elaboration we have extracted base modules for the elaboration of submodules and supermodules, the same ones that were used in the design of "patterns" and applied to the textile through the sublimation method. Once the graphic design phase was completed, the proposal for textile design was raised, where the "patterns" was stamped in two types of fabric, lycra and polyester, for the clothing production. The set of pieces obtained constitutes the brand "Núa Vintage", a brand with renewed and modernized style, where each garment has been catalogued according to the predominant color and its equivalent in Shuar language.
