Abstract

Abstract: The present investigation approaches the study of the public space in the informal neighborhoods, specifically of the neighborhood "Víctor Emilio Valdivieso" popularly known as "Tierras Coloradas" A social analysis is developed where the habitat practices are highlighted, an urban analysis of the polygon of intervention is carried out through analytical plans, from which qualitative and quantitative factors are obtained that helped to determine the main problems of the sector. The problem that lies in the place of study is the derogatory image of the neighborhood, the deterioration of public space and social conflicts that have been the product of informality and urban marginality, for which it is intended to provide a solution through the generation and intervention of the public space, since it has positive characteristics such as the intensity of use that can improve neighborhood life, and decrease the negative aspects, by proposing strategies that reinforce the social interaction of its inhabitants.
