La lectura: un camino por recorrer

Abstract

The benefits of reading are undeniable, for this reason it is imperative to find ways to create an approach to make reading a pleasure. Some ideas have been formulated to this end. It is important to offer the readers age-appropriate readings because one runs the risk of creating disappointment if the reader is not prepared to understand what has been read. On the other hand, it is much more likely that students will become avid readers if the readings offered are more attractive and age-appropriate. For this reason, it has been created a classification of readings based on the criteria detailed in the book Human Development by Diane Papalia, Ruth Dustin and Gabriela Martorel. However, there has been emphasis made to the fact that the reading selected actually depends on the maturity of the reader. Finally, suggestions of reading for each age group have been made, with their respective summary and commentary to help tailor if the reading will be attractive and rewarding to the reader for whom it has been assigned.
