Aplicación de índices geomorfológicos usando MDT para la interpretación de tectónica reciente en la ciudad de Loja - Ecuador.

Abstract

The main objective this work is establish through morphometric indicators the changes or anomalies that present the hydrographic basins where the city of Loja is accentuated, in order to identify the zones with possible tectonic or neotectonic activity by changes at the local base level. To obtain the hypsometric model, 2293 first-order and 413 third-order basins were analyzed, as well as 14 rivers and streams for profiling and gradient indices, and 32 outcrops were described in the field to corroborate the information derived by the two previous methods. The final results is a map of tectonic and quaternary or active structures, hypsometry maps of the first and third basins, gradient profiles and techniques records of the Loja outcrops.
