Abstract

This research aims to raise awareness of the use of built heritage as a resource for economic, social and cultural development, understanding that it is part of the collective memory of a place. The present study, through the field research carried out, has made it possible to understand the role played by the built heritage within the city, evidencing the high degree of devaluation that exists for these properties, understanding that in order to carry out any intervention it is necessary of a stage of acculturation of the residents. The theoretical foundation complemented with the diagnosis, has allowed to establish axes and strategic actions for urban revitalization based on the use of architectural heritage
