| dc.description | Resumen: La investigación tiene como propósito calcular las elasticidades del precio e ingreso sobre la demanda de energía eléctrica en la provincia de Loja para el periodo 2012-2016, utilizando modelos de panel con una muestra de 960 datos, obtenidos desde la base del Banco Central y proporcionados por la Empresa Eléctrica Regional del Sur (EERSSA) considerando variables como el InIPC¹, InVAB2 cantonal y estas también cuadráticas con el fin de determinar las relaciones existentes entre el precio e ingreso de la demanda de energía eléctrica, analizando las principales teorías de elasticidad-precio y elasticidad-ingreso, pudiendo conocer que ante variaciones en el precio o ingreso de energía afectará en su demanda. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que al corto plazo tanto la elasticidad precio o elasticidad ingreso son inelásticas y en el largo plazo son perfectamente inelásticas, por lo que la energía eléctrica es un bien necesario así se incremente el precio, las personas no dejaran de consumir energía. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The purpose of the research is to calculate the elasticities of price and income on electricity demand in the province of Loja for the period 2012-2016, using panel models with a sample o 960 data, obtained from the base of the Central Bank and provided by the Regional Electric Company of the South (EERSSA) considering variables such as the InIPC, InVAB cantona and these also quadratic in order to determine the existing relationships between the price and income of the demand for electricity, analyzing the main theories of price elasticity and income- elasticity, being able to know that before variations in the price or income of energy will affec its demand.
