| Abstract: | Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship of foreign investment in business growth. To meet this objective, information has been considered on the 100 largest companies in Ecuador with respect to their assets and income, the information of which was obtained from the superintendence of companies. The methodology used is a multiple regression econometric model with random effects, the dependent variables are the assets and income of the companies, and the independent variables are GDP, foreign direct investment and country risk. The results that have been obtained show that the variables direct foreign investment and country risk are not statistically significant with respect to the growth of the assets and income of the companies subject to study. |
| Description: | Resumen: Esta investigación tiene por objetivo determinar la relación de la inversión extranjera en el crecimiento empresarial. Para cumplir con este objetivo se ha considerado información sobre las 100 mayores empresas del Ecuador respecto a sus activos e ingresos, la información de las mismas se obtuvo de la superintendencia de compañías. La metodología utilizada es un modelo econométrico de regresión múltiple con efectos aleatorios, las variables dependientes son los activos e ingresos de las compañías, y las variables independientes son el PIB, inversión extranjera directa y el riesgo país. Los resultados que se han obtenido muestran que las variables inversión extranjera directa y el riesgo país no son estadísticamente significativos respecto al crecimiento de los activos e ingresos de las empresas sujetas a estudio. |
