Abstract

The proposal of the creation of the Historical Archive of the UTPL, made by the need to identify and give the appropriate treatment to the documentation considered of historical character for the UTPL, has as purpose to present a plan for the archival technical consolidation of the Historical Archive for the UTPL. Through the application of data collection techniques, direct observation and interview to the personnel in charge of the documentation backup in the different management files existing in the UTPL, the existence of the documentation considered as historical was identified and its treatment, both in its management and in its conservation.

Once the diagnosis was made, the proposal for the creation of the Historical Archive of the UTPL was developed, in which an organizational structure is presented, both the physical space for the protection of the documentation and for the staff, a methodology approach, instruments and guidelines for the archival treatment of documents, budget and environmental conditions suitable for the conservation and preservation of the documentary collection.
