Influencia del crecimiento urbano en los cambios de uso del suelo Periurbano de Loja, durante el periodo 1998-2017

Abstract

Abstract: The investigation focuses on the peri-urban fringe of Loja. The objective is to carry out a multitemporal and comparative analysis of the process of transformation of land use and the construction of a prospective scenario based on trends, considering demographic, social and dynamic conditions of land use. All this was done through the preparation of thematic cartography of land uses of the years 1998, 2010 and 2017 and trend cartography with a horizon towards the year 2030, through the photointerpretation of satellite images and aerial photographs, geostatistical databases of the INEC and municipal GAD vectors, thus generating qualitative and quantitative predictions of the established changes. In the study, a tendency towards the expansion of urban sprawl and concentration of settlements outside the urban perimeter was detected, whose tendency of expansion is towards the northeast sector. Its peri-urban soil constitutes an irregular spot that extends inside and outside the urban polygon, with an eminent upward trend towards residential use and a decreasing tendency to use crops and green areas.
