Abstract

The objective of this paper is to design an environmental management system based on ISO 14001: 2015 for the Municipal Autonomous Decentralized Government of Piñas, which is structured based on environmental management guidelines, complying with current statutes and laws. used in the basic procedures of public institutions. To carry out the design, an initial environmental diagnosis was carried out through direct observation, review of all documentation, questionnaire interviews and focus groups. Once the impacts in each process and area were identified, they were evaluated and carried out a SWOT (Strengths, Opportunities, Weaknesses and Threats). As a result of this work, a technical document of the environmental management system was generated under the ISO 14001: 2015 standard. The same one that is structured with the environmental policy for the Municipality, legal requirements, planning, operational control and more requirements that the system considers as registers, lists, procedures, etc., that will allow the continuous improvement in the system to the Municipal of Piñas.
