Análisis de la percepción y opinión de la población del cantón Loja sobre realidad socio ambiental nacional

Abstract

Abstract: This research shows the perception and opinion of Ecuadorians about the national socio-environmental reality. The situation is described taking variables such as environment, water, quality of life, equity and participation and democracy. Positive and negative aspects of this environmental reality are included, with a general focus on the different theories of environmental perception. The general scientific method is applied, together with the inductive and deductive method. A structured survey was applied to 381 senior citizens aged 16 years, addressed to the inhabitants of the city of Loja - Loja province, the results were treated in a cross - sectional and descriptive study, using the responses recorded in the surveys. Finally, it is evident that the lack of culture in relation to the environmental theme makes it possible for inhabitants to show little interest in the existence of problems and solutions. It is the bio-cultural process that determines the environmental perception about the level of knowledge and, to a lesser degree, influences the level of education acquired.
