Prototipo de vivienda social en adobe para el cantón Saraguro, en la provincia de Loja

Abstract

This research project aims to verify the suitability and feasibility of applying the Adobe building technique in a residential building project in the community of Saraguro. The ancestral techniques in earth (bahareque, adobe and tapial) have been used by the inhabitants of Saraguro from the Inca period, but with the pass of the time they have been replaced by new constructive systems. The present TFT is intended to demonstrate one of the possible contemporary applications of this technique, in order to preserve the heritage link of these ethnic groups. For this reason, the design of a home that guarantees contemporary levels of comfort and habitability, without neglecting the cultural and social aspects of the indigenous communities, is proposed.
