Propuesta de plan de gestión integral para los residuos sólidos generados en el Hospital General Portoviejo - IESS.

Abstract

The present research has as general objective to know the factors that affect the deficient solid waste management of the Hospital General Portoviejo - IESS and then make a proposal that contributes positively to the maintenance and care of the environment. The study was based on the way the collection, transportation and final disposal of waste generated in the health home is carried out. The integral plan for solid waste management is based on the legal framework applicable to the management of hospital waste and biosafety. It begins by examining from the theoretical framework, the bibliography of authors with knowledge in the proposed topic. The hospital was visited for seven consecutive days in order to carefully observe each of the stages of hospital waste management and to assist in the weighing, classification and registration of solid waste delivery. Once this diagnosis was made, they were classified in tables by each area to know the total weight per kilogram generated, then it was graphed by the Excel program and performed the respective analysis of results according to the environmental impact, the health hazard of the People and possible ways of minimizing them
