Abstract: The present study proposed to analyze the psychometric properties of the scale Situations Linked with the Stress (SVE-12) in a sample of 200 patients with diabetes. The age of the sample was comprised between the 18 and 85 years, the average age was approximately 50.87 years, 57 % of the same one was represented by men and 43 % for women. For the statistical treatment of the information three procedures were used: (1) the exploratory factor analysis to determine the construct validity for rotation Varimax; (2) the Cronbach alpha to evaluate the reliability of the test; and (3) the correlation coefficient r Pearson, to test the concurrent validity. The results demonstrated the existence of two factors: Factor 1, tolerance to the ambiguity and to the frustration; Factor 2, decision making. Both factors explain 70% of the total construct variance. The Cronbach alpha was 0, 92 for the entire test. The coefficient r of Pearson threw significant correlations between the two test factors with the diagnosis time of the disease (months) and physical exercise.
