Description: Abstract:In the design and planning of projects in some engineering, it is very necessary to have Geographic Information (GI) in an organized way and easy to access. So, in this project is pretended to implement a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) to make Geographic Information available to the scientific community and citizens in general, accomplishing with international standards and regulations. This, in order to achieve interoperability characteristics for its easy adaptation and integration in engineering projects. The implementation of standards and interoperability allow the technical expertise and strengthening about of analytic part of estimations about the phenomena´s behavior, research development, Geography Information s management and help to decision making process. Spatial Data Infrastructure is structured through a linked system to Internet that link together the user with the spatial information through a map server named GeoServer and with that, access to the Geographic Information of our interest. Under the assignment of roles and privileges, Spatial Data Infrastructure users through the implemented functions will be able to visualize, consult, download and modify the Spatial Data.
