Description: Resumen:The present research project entitled, management of the teaching-learning process in Basic Education in the Educational Institution "Manuel Abad" of the canton of Quito, Pichincha Province, Ecuador, Academic Year 2017 - 2018 aims to evaluate the performance of teachers of basic education of the educational center "Manuel Abad" within the scope of the management of the teaching-learning process, on the basis of the diagnosis of the current conditions of the planning of this process. From which analyzed the teaching performance and the processes that are carried out in classes, such as: planning, development and evaluation. As a result the project was framed within the type of scientific research, data were taken using the deductive and inductive method - we used the techniques and instruments (survey, analysis of documents and direct observation). As a result of the research we got that, the management of teachers is effective and competent, however you can improve processes and educational practices, using strategies and techniques that optimize the quality of teaching - learning effectively improves teacher performance and student achievement.
