Estudio socio-jurídico de los abogados en libre ejercicio profesional. El caso ecuatoriano

Abstract

The socio-legal study of the free professional practice of lawyers in Ecuador has, as an objective, to know in a more detailed way about the profession and the work of lawyers. In order to reach this approach, this study was carried out through the application of qualitative and quantitative techniques, with the support of surveys as well as an interview as a resource, taken to thirty-five lawyers, which most of them were outside the Judicial Units of Consejo de la Judicatura, one of them, located at Albán Borja Shopping Center in the city of Guayaquil. Based on the results obtained through the techniques and resources employed, it is concluded that the group of professionals surveyed is comfortable with their profession, but they are not satisfied with the current institutional system of the country, because their actions and economic income has been limited by the extension of the Public Defender's Office, and since there is no legal resource that enforces the rights of lawyers, they have been vulnerable.
