Composición de la Avifauna del Área Nacional de Recreación El Boliche según las formaciones vegetales presentes

Abstract

The collect of information about biological diversity represents one of the main tools for the management and protection of natural resources. Through this research, the composition of the birds in each of the plant formations of the Boliche National Recreation Area (ANRB) was defined. Between February and April 2018, 30 field trips were carried out, in which visual and auditory records were made, with which the wealth, abundance, and diversity of the Protected Area were determined for each of the formations, these parameters were compared, and a basic guide for registered birds was created. The presence of 28 species was evidenced, 3 have high sensitivity and one of them is endemic to the eastern Andean slope. According to the diversity indices of Simpson and Shannon, the most diverse area is the high montane evergreen forest. The high diversity found, implies that the ANRB is an important area in terms of species conservation and the guide generated is a tool that can be used to strengthen the management of the same.
