Plan de mantenimiento vial, enfocado al movimiento de masas, para la reducción de costos de mantenimiento y operación vehicular en la vía Loja-Zamora

Abstract

Abstract:The lack of an adequate compliance of a Road Maintenance Plan in our country affects users who invest more resources in maintenance and vehicle operating costs. For this reason, the present study is based on: the analysis of affectations by landslide, overflows of streams and tamponade of culverts, the evaluation through visual inspection of the elements that conforms the road with the help of road inventory and the study of traffic through vehicular counting, to have the necessary information to propose a Road Maintenance Plan focused on the movement of the masses and the needs of the road. In the present investigation, were determinated the most critical sectors by higher volumes of debris removal and higher incidence of affectations. Traffic variables were obtained like TPDA, damage factor, equivalent axes transit and load spectrum. This work contributes to the planning of routine and periodic maintenance activities based on the information collected and in this way avoid the execution of emergency activities, rehabilitation or reconstructions of the road.
