Teachers’ perception on the application of Action Research as main teaching exploration techniques to teach Listening and Speaking to EFL learners in public high schools of Loja.

Abstract

The current study is about Teachers’ perception on the application of Action Research as main teaching exploration technique to teach Listening and Speaking to EFL learners in public high schools of Loja. In this sense, the current study strives to search and learn about Action Research as the main teaching exploration techniques, amongst others. The current study was carried out in Puyango, which is a county of the province of Loja. The field research took place in two public high schools where English is taught as a foreign language. The current study’s population is made up of five educators who teach 1st, 2nd, 3rd, of bachelorette in the participating institutions, English is taught for ninety minutes per day. Additionally, this study applied Quantitative and Qualitative research methods. The main result found in the current research, let in evidence that teachers do not have knowledge about Action research, which is the main topic of this study.
