Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this work was to develop a comprehensive management plan for waste generated in the urban area of El Pangui Canton, province of Zamora Chinchipe; The same as presenting some problems derived from the lack of segregation and the use of solid waste in the environment. In the first place, the evaluation of the current situation was carried out through citizen surveys, interviews with the competent authorities and observation visits through the city. In addition, a sampling program has been established through which the generation rate of the place was determined, which was 0.66 kg / inhabitant / day. A minimum CPG is also estimated within this analysis. Of 0.33 kg / inhabitant / day and a maximum CPG of 1.69 kg / inhabitant / day. The composition of the inorganic waste in the urban area was obtained through the cuarte method, they are plastics (39.79%), followed by cardboard (32.70%) and cans (16.59%). The integral solid waste management plan is integrated by three programs: Environmental education, Harvesting solid waste, Solid Waste Collection and Transport Program.
