| Abstract: | Abstract:The present investigation focuses on the hydrochemical characterization of the thermal waters of southern Ecuador. For its study 10 samples of thermal water are used, on which a physical and geographic analysis of the zones where they are located is developed. As well as a laboratory analysis to know the physical and chemical properties of water and establish an ionic relationship between the properties. These results allow to determine the type of water and to know the concentration of cations and anions in each sample. The results obtained: •The thermal water springs Aguas Hediondas and Agua del Milagro are called sulphated water calcic. •The thermal water points Hostería Duran- El Riñón, Complejo turístico Agapantos y Piedra de Agua Fuente Termal are sodium chloride waters. •The Balneario Las Huacas thermal water point is a type of sodium sulphated water. •The thermal springs Yanayacu, Aguas Guapan and Aguas Calientes are considered a type of sodium chloride water. The thermal water point Comunidad Shuar Aguas Termales is considered a type of sodium bicarbonate. |
| Description: | Resumen: La presente investigación se centra en la caracterización hidroquímica de las aguas termales del sur del Ecuador. Para su estudio se utiliza 10 muestras de agua termal, sobre los cuales se desarrolla un análisis físico y geográfico de las zonas de ubicación de las mismas. Así como un análisis de laboratorio para conocer las propiedades físicas y químicas del agua y establecer una relación iónica entre las propiedades. Dichos resultados permiten determinar la tipología de agua y conocer la concentración de cationes y aniones que tiene cada muestra. Los resultados obtenidos: Los puntos de agua termal Aguas Hediondas y Agua del Milagro son aguas sulfatadas cálcicas. •Los puntos de agua termal Hostería Duran- El Riñón, Complejo turístico Agapantos y Piedra de Agua Fuente Termal son aguas cloruradas sódicas. El punto de agua termal Balneario Las Huacas es un tipo de agua sulfatada sódica. Los puntos de agua termal Balnearia Yanayacu, Aguas Guapan y Aguas Calientes son considerados un tipo de agua clorurada sódica. •El punto de agua termal Comunidad Shuar Aguas Termales es considerado un tipo de agua bicarbonatada sódica. |
