Nuevo modelo constructivo para vivienda en bahareque para el barrio Taquil - parroquia rural Taquil de la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

Abstract:Housing in the province of Loja has suffer many changes in last century, however the tradition of earth builted houses in their several forms or constructive sistems has survived especially in rural zones; either adobe, tapial or wattle and daub (bahareque). Taquil, being a place with great demand and need of adquire and own houses, and by the very fact that people don´t have easy economic capacity to afford a conventional house, is a suitable zone for a construc-tive proposal that facilitate such capacity. Bahareque, as a mixed constructive system and part of the traditional earthbuilt systems, is the best for adaptation, in general, to the geological and environmental conditions of the place where it is emplazed, for that reason, its use and historic traditional value must be rescued, complementing it with the best technologies. The investigation will determine the resources and factors that limit the intervention but allow an improvement of this construction system in a way to leave a good precedent of habitability for the inhabitants of the rural district Taquil of the province of Loja.
