Abstract

Abstract:Burnout syndrome or chronic labor stress is the deterioration of physical and psychological health as a result of the high intensity of labor load for a prolonged period in caregivers. The objective of the study is to identify the prevalence of Burnout syndrome and its three dimensions in informal caregivers of people with disabilities of the Committee "Blessing of God", located in the canton Pelileo, province of Tungurahua. The research determines the sociodemographic and labor characteristics, the dimensions of chronic labor stress, coping modes, social support from the social network, the vital satisfaction and resilience of the population investigated to Through descriptive and quantitative analysis. It is concluded that there is prevalence of Burnout syndrome at a high level related to 60% of participants, half perceive to have intense overload, has greater incidence in the female gender that assumes the role of caregiver in the family nucleus, the family load is Determinant for the development of the syndrome, they present emotional exhaustion and anxiety, they do not know about palliative care and the economic income, experience and number of children allow the advancement of the syndrome.
