Abstract

Abstract:This work was carried out with the purpose of knowing the social and environmental perception of the Paquisha canton, in reference subjects such as: water, markets, participation and democracy, gender equity, quality of life and environment in order to have data of the canton that could serve public as well as private institutions. 354 surveys were applied in rural and urban parishes. The most relevant results indicate their concern about water pollution. As for the acquisition of products in the market, they consider that they prefer that they be of good quality together with the price of the same. It was also determined that the respondents feel safe living in their neighborhoods, but on the contrary it is very difficult to get a job. On the other hand, we could determine that there are valid municipal ordinances that ensure social and environmental issues.
