Relación entre el machismo y actitudes hacia la violencia contra la mujer en la relación de pareja en estudiantes de Segundo y Tercero de Bachillerato general unificado en colegios fiscales de la ciudad de Loja

Abstract:The present investigation was carried out in order to analyze the relationship between attitudes towards machismo and attitudes towards violence against women in the couple's relationship in second and third year high school students of tax colleges in the city of Loja. A descriptive, non-experimental, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional methodology was used in a non-probabilistic sample for the convenience of 53 participants. Once the instruments were applied: AD-HOC questionnaire, EVAMVE scale and the VM scale, it was found that prevalent attitudes towards machismo were related to jealousy, feelings of guilt and ridicule; With regard to violence against women in the relationship, the prevailing attitudes related to economic violence and the responsibility of women with regard to childcare. The results obtained indicate that there is a correlation between attitudes towards machismo and attitudes towards violence against women in the relationship, however this relationship was not presented when gender differentiation was carried out.
