Caracterización de los aprovechamientos medioambientales en la arquitectura tradicional del cantón Quilanga

Abstract

Abstract:The way of life of the peoples is reflected in several aspects: economic, social, cultural. The house is a sample of this, since it allows to identify its history and culture. The purpose of this research is to analyze the traditional architecture of the Quilanga canton based on three areas: sociocultural, environmental, architectural. These allow to establish the different relationships between: environment-inhabitants-housing. In addition, identify the construction techniques to give solutions to the different conditions of the place. Subsequently, to determine the level of thermal comfort of the houses, simulations are carried out in the Desing Builder program. Finally, the strategies of energy use and their influence on thermal behavior are evaluated. Establishing a base that allows the new architecture to respond adequately to the environment.
