Análisis de pobreza, desigualdad y mercado laboral de la parroquia rural Jimbilla del cantón Loja.

Abstract

Abstract:The main objective of the present investigation is to investigate the conditions of poverty, inequality and labor market of Jimbilla parish. A questionnaire is applied to 59 heads of households, taking as reference the form of the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Under-employment (ENEMDU). The main results show that the poverty incidence rate is 61.70% and the extreme poverty incidence poverty rate is 27.12%, higher figures at the national and local levels. Likewise, the Gini coefficient is 0.43, and the participation in the labor market of the population, 10.59% for adequate employment, 12.94% underemployment and 3.53% is unemployed. Finally, the main activities to which the population is engaged (62.23%) are agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishing, which represent a higher percentage of employment in the Parish.
