Abstract

Abstract:This research paper analyzes the contribution of credit in the generation of productive activities in the country. Case analysis of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Chamber of Commerce of Ambato LTDA, and Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito El Sagrario LTDA, period 2005-2018. The data presented in this work show that the COAC Chamber of Commerce Ambato and COAC El Sagrario, have concentrated the productive credit mainly in the Sierra region, in the province of Tungurahua, it is observed that really the support for productive activities by The two COACS, is low, specifically they are concentrated to wholesale and retail trade activities, that is activities that have no added value. Although it is possible to rescue, to COAC Chamber of Commerce Ambato in the last three years has concentrated the productive credit in the sector of agriculture, livestock and fishing. The methodology used is descriptive-relational in nature because it identifies how credit contributes to the generation of productive activities and therefore to economic growth.
