Abstract

Abstract:In the present investigation, the analysis of the artisan entrepreneurial profile was made of the artisan group of the Vilcabamba Valley located in the parish of Vilcabamba, canton of Loja, was performed. Through this study, the conditions and the environment under which the research subjects are found were made known. To obtain the desired results, the research based on bibliographic study, field study and a descriptive type of research is carried out. For this it was necessary to use research methods which were inductive and analytical oriented to a field work carried out in the aforementioned association. Therefore, surveys were conducted based on the census of the population that is part of the association. The profile shows that the craftsman ventures into entrepreneurial activities in an effort to express his creativity, manage his time and detect his knowledge, motivated by a shortage of employment. Their level of training is low, however to exercise their functions it is essential that they possess creative abilities, and they will also be leaders and passionate about their work. He has no previous experience in business creation and always has the unconditional support of their families. Through the results obtained in the investigation it is evidenced that the artisan entrepreneurs of the Valle de Vilcabamba association do not have business training, in addition they do not have financial support from public institutions which forces them to finance themselves by their own means.
