Abstract

Abstract:The lack of interest and information for the preservation of patrimonial edifications within the city of Loja, has caused its history, identity and culture to be lost, thanks to this many buildings are demolished, taking a big part of the city´s history with it. On the other hand, in buildings that can be still preserved, the interventions executed do not contain analysis of the time of construction, materiality and context where is it placed The following investigation pretends to make a proposal of rehabilitation in a building located on Bolivar, between Azuay and Mercadillo streets with patrimonial characteristics, in order to preserve its historical value and rescue its cultural identity, through an arquitectonical project wich is fundamented on a historical analysis of the house and the differents changes it had has to the present, context analysis and compatible construction techniques with the building.
