| Abstract: | The migration of copper technology to GPON allows to offer telecommunication services in a convergent way without influencing the infrastructure, offering improvements in the quality of the services, since it offers greater bandwidth. This report was carried out in order to capture the design of an ODN network for the Ciudad Victoria sector of the Loja canton, based on GPON technology. ODNs allow all the elements involved in the network to interact with each other to serve the end user. The network was designed under the construction standards of CNT E.P. and is sized to cover all the existing and potential demand in the sector, with the aim of allowing the migration of existing services to new technology and thus improve the quality of services offered by the company. In order for the sizing of the network to be suitable, it was necessary to carry out the gathering of information from both the commercial and technical area. | Description: | La migración de tecnología de cobre a GPON permite ofrecer servicios de telecomunicaciones de forma convergente sin que influya la infraestructura, ofreciendo mejoras en la calidad de los servicios, ya que ofrece un mayor ancho de banda. El presente informe, se lo realizó con la finalidad de plasmar el diseño de una red ODN para el sector Ciudad Victoria del cantón Loja, basado en tecnología GPON. Las ODN permiten que todos los elementos que intervienen en la red, interactúen entre sí para servir al usuario final. La red fue diseñada bajo las normas de construcción de CNT E.P. y esta dimensionada para cubrir toda la demanda existente y potencial en el sector, con el objetivo de permitir la migración de los servicios existentes a la nueva tecnología y así mejorar la calidad de los servicios ofrecidos por la empresa. Para que el dimensionamiento de la red sea idóneo, fue necesario realizar el levantamiento de información tanto del área comercial y técnica. El diseño de la red ODN abastecerá a un total de 799 abonados en un inicio, una vez construida. |
