Abstract: In the present undergraduate degree work, it is analyzed the performance of the hybrid packet retransmision algorithms to mitigate the BSP (Broadcast Storm Problem) problem in FANET (Flying Ad-Hoc Network) networks and the power savings achieved by implement- ing these algorithms. The implementation of the network and the hybrid algorithms were performed in a simulation on MATLAB software. Six network scenarios with 100 nodes were simulated, and the Random Walk algorithm was implemented to simulate the nodes mobility. The performance of the algorithms was evaluated based on three parameters: the reachability, number of saved retransmissions, and the power saving of the nodes. The hybrid algoritm that presented better results to mitigate de BSP problem is the dynamic probability-based algorithm. With this algorithm were obtained percentages of reachability between 60% and 100%, saved retransmission beween 70% and 90%, and a power saving of 70%.
