Percepción y opinión de los ecuatorianos sobre realidad socio ambiental nacional. Estudio del cantón Santa Cruz

Abstract

Abstract:This is a technical study that aims to establish a clear concept of public opinion on the socio-environmental reality of the canton; such as water, gender equity, citizen participation, quality of life, markets, it was carried out in the Santa Cruz canton, province of Galapagos, a random sampling was recorded with a total population of 15701 inhabitants and a confidence level of 95% The actual sample size was 385 inhabitants selected. Surveys were applied in the urban and rural area of the canton. The results indicate that 50.13% of the respondents were men, and only 15.32% have a higher education level. Regarding the perception that respondents have of the environment, they feel that their most important problems are: the lack of availability of water, extinction of species and the increasing amount of garbage, they also think that within the most efficient solutions to treat them they are recycle, refuse, reduce.
