Abstract

Abstract:The present study was carried out in order to determine the level of integral development in children aged 4 to 6 years and its relationship with the socioeconomic stratum of their family environment for which the Integral Development Scale (EDIN II) was applied to twenty children from the Happy Kids Initial Education Center in the city of Quito. Through a survey the sociodemographic record of the parents of the participating children was prepared. It was concluded that the group is located in a medium-high socioeconomic stratum and that it influences the integral development of the child. In the analysis with EDIN II the participants were rated with high levels in the different areas, the average of the global diagnosis being 42.35, thus fulfilling the objectives proposed in this work by identifying the level of development by area and its relationship with the socioeconomic level of the family as a whole. The methodology applied in this research was with a quantitative approach, using descriptive and inductive methods. The respective consent and consent letters were obtained for the children's participation in the investigation.
