Percepción sobre el manejo y calidad del agua en la microcuenca hidrográfica Yambala, provincia de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The way in which people explore and know the world is through perceptions, allowing information to be obtained about everything that exists in the universe through the senses; The study of these perceptions allows us to know the way in which people conceive and base their judgments in relation to the sensations obtained from the environment. The present work sought to know what is the perception of the residents of the parishes of San Pedro de Vilcabamba and Vilcabamba, in matters of quality, quantity and management of the water resource of the Yambala micro-basin. And the actions taken by those in charge of managing the water service for human consumption and irrigation. The results obtained indicate that the provision of water is made through the administrative boards of water for human consumption and irrigation, and by the Municipal and Provincial GAD. The perception of the population is that the quality of the water remains in good condition and the quantity has varied over time. A management plan is also proposed that includes programs, projects and strategies to improve the quality and quantity of water, without overlooking the productive and social part of the Yambala micro-basin.
