Estudio de la televisión local en Pichincha-Quito. Caso de estudio: RTU y Asomavisión.

Abstract

Abstract:Television is central to the life of the human being, reunites the family, entertains children, tells reality, brings the world closer to the comfort of the home, establishes patterns of behavior with values, even questions the discourses of the past. This capacity becomes the construction of social imaginary that affects the identities, practices, knowledge and senses of the viewer because it takes cultural, social, economic and political elements in the design, elaboration and circulation of content. In other words, it is the know / do / imagine of television that has been investigated from the programming grills, interviews and field observation in the local channels analyzed (Asomavisión and RTU) allows to know, describe and analyze Ecuadorian TV, because its history is in a continuous process of writing. This research aims to collect that story from the twentieth century to the present.
