Abstract

Abstract:To know the life stories of a people is to get closer to the depths of their hearts. Break with classical anthropology as a colonialist science in which the researcher is situated at a higher level than the inhabitants being the master and lord of the story that gives meaning to the actions, clothing, parties, etc ... of a social group. In the case of the present investigation, the researcher is placed in a horizontal position with respect to the participants who become the co-creators of the story. The present work is an investigation carried out through the biographical narrative method that seeks to bring the stories of life of the Saraguro indigenous people to the public based on the story of its protagonists as a means to give voice to a social group that has historically been discriminated against by the mestizo population and state powers.
