Evaluación del desarrollo integral en niños de 4 a 6 años.

Abstract

El tema del desarrollo de los niños ha sido tratado por varias ramas académicas, como la pedagogía y la psicología. Aunque se han dado distintas opiniones, la teoría del Desarrollo Integral ofrece una de las explicaciones más completas y significativas. Esta teoría estudia a la niñez, desde los 0 a los 6 años, tomando en cuenta cuatro dimensiones fundamentales: área motriz, área del lenguaje, área cognitiva, área socioafectiva. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar cómo es el desarrollo integral en los niños de 4 a 6 años de edad, para ello, se utilizó una metodología descriptiva, a fin de analizar la Escala del Desarrollo Integral EDIN-II. Las técnicas utilizadas en el análisis fueron la lectura, el resumen, la paráfrasis y los organizadores gráficos. A partir de este análisis, se logró concluir que la EDIN-II es un instrumento eficaz para evaluar al niño y para detectar posibles dificultades en su desarrollo. Al final, considerando los aspectos de la EDIN-II, se diseñó una propuesta para apoyar a niños con dificultades en el área cognitiva.Abstract:The topic of children s development has been treated by various academic fields, such as pedagogy and psychology. Although different opinions have been given, the theory of Integral Development offers one of the most complete and significant explanations. This theory studies childhood, from 0 to 6 years old, taking into account four fundamental dimensions: motor area, language area, cognitive area, socio-affective area. The objective of this work was to determine the integral development in children between 4 and 6 years of age; for this, a descriptive methodology was used in order to analyze the EDIN-II Development Scale. The techniques used in the analysis were reading, abstracting, paraphrasing and graphic organizers. From this analysis, it was possible to conclude that the EDIN-II is an effective instrument to evaluate the child and to detect possible difficulties in its development. In the end, considering the aspects of the EDIN-II, a proposal was designed to support children with difficulties in the cognitive area.
