Abstract: Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease, not transmissible and common in which its cause or cure is not clear. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in patients with psoriasis treated at the Dermatology Department of the Isidro Ayora Hospital during the period from October 2018 to May 2019 in order to estimate the prevalence of comorbidities in patients with psoriasis, describe their quality of life and the relationship between the comorbidities and quality of life. Clinical and epidemiological variables that were related to the response variables were studied. In the investigation it is concluded that the prevalence of comorbidities in patients with psoriasis investigated is high, with no association to clinical and epidemiological variables, although there is a certain tendency. Among the comorbidities, dyslipidemia, hypertension and diabetes mellitus combined with dyslipidemia, hypertension or depression predominate. The quality of life is, in general, favorable, with a moderate to small effect of the disease on it, without finding a relationship that affects the quality of life according to the presence of comorbidities.es_ES
