Estudio del uso problemático de internet y su relación con la flexibilidad e inflexibilidad psicológica en adolescentes del cantón Piñas en la provincia de El Oro

Abstract: Currently the internet is an indispensable tool for the world that makes people's lives easier, and in turn it can become a problem, especially for adolescents who are a population at risk, considering, above all, the extensive information content that exists and the lack of adult supervision. These antecedents motivated the present research work which had the objective of identifying the problematic use of the Internet and its relationship with the psychological inflexibility in adolescents of the Piñas Canton. The research design had a quantitative approach, with a cross-sectional descriptive and correlational scope with a sample of 100 adolescents aged 15 to 17 years. The instruments used: questionnaire of sociodemographic characteristics, questionnaire of experiences related to the Internet (CERI) and inventory of flexibility and psychological inflexibility (AAQ-II). It was concluded that more than half of adolescents have occasional problems with the Internet, while a small percentage have psychological inflexibility. Finally, a significant relationship was found between the variables problematic use of the Internet and psychological inflexibility.
