Evaluación y catastro de la red de alcantarillado sanitario del campus de la Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The sanitary sewerage cadastre is the necessary requirement for an optimal evaluation, control and maintenance of a sanitation system. Due to the growth of infrastructure in the UTPL campus and the lack of information of its components, it was proposed as an objective to carry out the survey of the sanitary sewage cadastre and its operation evaluation. In order to satisfy these needs, information was collected in technical files where relevant data of each component is included. For their location and subsequent maintenance, the wells were referenced both geographically and to two fixed points; and the discharge flow was calculated for each building on the campus taking into consideration the number of existing sanitary batteries. With this information, finally the evaluation of the hydraulic capacity was made by means of the use of the SewerGems software, applying the INEN (1992) standard. As a result, it was found that the flow rate in the campus is 103 L/s, made up of two main sanitary sewage networks of corrugated PVC pipe of 200 mm, whose discharges are joined to the rainwater sewage system, constituting a mixed system.
