Abstract

Abstract: The present titling project started from the public space s recognition as the main generator of different activities, whose potential is to favor the society interaction, fundamental principle of town planning nowadays. Santo Domingo de Guzman neighborhood was considered as a case study for its low quality of public space, which decreases the possible appreciation of itself of those who live it, creating social issues as insecurity, planning lack and space abandon, turning it into a non-place.Through the analysis methodologies it was allowed to know the quality of public space, giving us this way, strategies at urban level and together with the referents have criteria for the design of an important public space as is its park. With that, the master plan and design of its central park was presented, as an alternative solution to the identified problem through the urban design motivating the park s use integrating it to strengthen relationships between their inhabitants.
