Abstract

Abstract: This pedagogical research work analyzes the contribution of the principles of social constructivism that underpin the development of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal in the Unidad Educativa Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Benjamín Carrión No. 2; in Quito canton. For this reason, content analysis was used through documentary research Gathering information about authors, who dealing with social constructivism and its principles. Likewise, the Ministry of Education 's pedagogical proposal was analized, in addition to the "Ley Orgánica de Educación Intercultural" LOEI and National Curriculum 2016, as in these regulations are the principles, methodological guidelines, and applicable purposes in the social constructivism, the principles analyzed and used in the pedagogical proposal have a livelihood and guide in the teaching - learning process. Allow the student build their own knowledge, taking into consideration their prior awareness, the development of their capacities just as the interaction with the classmates and the methodology used by the teacher, forming according to the guidelines of the institution and preparing for to be an active entity in the society.
