Desarrollo de un prototipo de juguete adaptado a las necesidades de niños con discapacidad visual a partir de material reciclado

Abstract

Abstract: This work presents the design of a toy adapted to the needs of blind children from recycled material,valuepropositionthat is about recycling in the city, and which on the other hand provides an alternative to inclusion in vulnerable disability sector. It was start from the selection of the raw material, for this purpose the selection of the material was presented establishing five parameters that the materialshad to meet, resulting in the plastic to be used is HDPE, which meets 23,4% with the exposed conditions. To carry out the design of the toy a visit was made to the specialized center for the blind Byron Eguiguren in the city of Loja,place where interviews were conducted for the initial design, and testing of the prototype, with which it was achieved the design of the toy called "Given High Relief". Finally, a proposal for the production process was presented that will make it possible to materialize the toy, this process ranges from plastic conditioning through a mechanical recycling process, to injection molding and storage of the toy in the hold.
