Análisis de pobreza, desigualdad y mercado laboral de la parroquia rural El Cisne del cantón Loja

Abstract

Abstract: The present investigation carries out a socio-economic study focused on poverty, inequality and labor market in the El Cisne rural parish of the Loja canton for which information was collected from 63 households in the Parish, a survey that took place from June 15 to 30, 2019, considering for the sample calculation a level of confidence of 90% and a margin of error of 10%. Likewise, the form for data collection was based on the questionnaire from the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment (ENEMDU), developed by the INEC. Among the main results of the study is that the poverty rate in the Parish is 29%, the extreme poverty rate is 12% and in the same way the GINI coefficient is 0.42%. In the same way, regarding the labor market, there is an unemployment rate of 2% and an employment rate of 98%, however, only 10% have a suitable job, because 70.41% of the population is dedicated to generating income and benefits independently, with a job insecurity.
