Abstract

Abstract: To thesouth of Ecuador in the province and canton of Loja is located the rural parish of Taquil, an area rich in vernacular architectural assets, which represent the built cultural heritage of the parish; being the Cera neighborhood one of the sectors that has this type of architecture. Currently, Cera does not have registration documents for real estate of patrimonial interest, necessary to guarantee its protection and conservation over time.Therefore, in the present degree work, the analytical and exploratorystudy of the sector was developed with the objective of identifying the real estate of patrimonial interest in the consolidated area of the Cera neighborhood. Enrollment and assessment were carried out using registration and inventory cards, issued by the INPC, which determined the urban heritage complex in a specific study area.The present investigation allowed the recognition and valuation of the vernacular architectural heritage of the Cera community through the registration and inventory of real estate as a first step to safeguard the cultural heritage.
