Educación ambiental como estrategia de conservación de la fauna silvestre

Abstract

Abstract:Wild fauna in some sectors of Ecuador is being affected by various factors such as pollution, consumption, commercialization, and ignorance. Faced with this problem, the need arises to carry out the present study that aims to design an environmental education campaign as a strategy for the conservation of wildlife in the Sucúa canton, Morona Santiago province, for the educational community of the Ciudad de Quito. For this, a digital survey was applied to the students and teachers of the educational unit, on the knowledge of wild fauna and the approach to this issue in the curricular plan; After that, those themes that were necessary for the design of the environmental education campaign were identified. The results reveal that several species in the area are little known or observed, mentioning that a large part of the animals are hunted for human consumption and that it is necessary to implement activities that reinforce the learning of the animals with examples from the locality and thereby contribute to its conservation.
