Diversidad de macro hongos en zonas urbanas (parques) de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: Ecuador is considered a mega-diverse country in terms of flora and fauna species. However, there is insufficient information about mycobiota "funga" and its importance for the environment. Therefore, the present work aimed to develop a record of the diversity of macrofungi in urban areas (parks) of Loja city (Jipiro and Carigán). The presence of species in each park was registered for its later identification. In addition, a checklist was made with the description of the main characteristics and their ecological importance in order to generate basic information for future urban management regulations. A total of 37 species were registered, 21 for the Jipiro Recreational Park and 16 for the Colinar Carigán Villonaco Park, being the Trametes genus the most diverse, besides all the species are new records for Loja. The results establish a base line of ecological information of fungi in these urban ecosystems, contributing to the inclusion and valuation of these organisms in plans of handling and environmental management.
