| Abstract: | Abstract: The analysis and evaluation of possible threats to which the health centers are exposed is fundamental, since they are essential for the care of emergencies and disasters. In this paper, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the Isidro Ayora Hospital in the city of Loja is detailed in order to obtain an analysis of its multifactorial danger and vulnerability through the use of the Hospital Safety Index (ISH), which is an evaluative model for hospitals and health centers. In addition, the study is complemented with a geotechnical evaluation of the soil through sieving granulometric analysis tests (ASTM C136), Atterberg limits (ASTM D4318-95), triaxial shear test accompanied by electrical tomographies carried out in the hospital facilities for the study of the subsoil, and a historical analysis of aerial photographs, through these analyzes and tests, landslides and water problems were observed near the hospital facilities. Through the application of the ISH, the hospital obtained Category A, being suitable for care in emergencies and disasters but with several aspects to improve. |
| Description: | Resumen: El análisis y evaluación de posibles amenazas a las que están expuestas los centros de salud es fundamental, puesto que los mismos son esenciales para la atención de emergencias y desastres. En el presente trabajo se detalla el análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo del Hospital Isidro Ayora de la ciudad de Loja con el fin de obtener un análisis de la peligrosidad y vulnerabilidad multifactorial del mismo mediante el empleo del Índice de Seguridad Hospitalaria (ISH), el cual es un modelo evaluativo para hospitales y centros de salud. Además se complementa el estudio con una evaluación geotécnica de suelo a través de ensayos de análisis granulométrico por tamizado (ASTM C136), límites Atterberg (ASTM D4318-95), ensayo de corte triaxial acompañado de tomografías eléctricas realizadas en las instalaciones del hospital para el estudio del subsuelo, y un análisis histórico de fotografías aéreas, mediante estos análisis y ensayos se observaron deslizamientos y problemas de agua cerca de las instalaciones hospitalarias. Mediante aplicación del ISH, el hospital obtuvo Categoría A, siendo apto para atención en emergencias y desastres pero con varios aspectos a mejorar. |
